Nothing shakes up an office dynamic like a new agent entering the Selling Sunset franchise. The latest person to do so is Ali (Alexandra) Harper, who makes her debut during Selling the OC's season two. Not only is she the newest addition to the show, but she joined before becoming a real estate agent and while living on the opposite side of the country from the office's home base. That unconventional profile might have you wondering: Who is Ali Harper, and how did she get here? Read on to learn all we know about the new reality star as you watch the latest eight-episode installment.
She’s from Tennessee.
"We're like the Kardashians of the South," Ali says of her family during her debut in episode two of the show. The entire clan resides in Tennessee, and 30-year-old Ali was born and raised in the state's Williamson County, which is just outside of Nashville, according to The Tennessean. Today, she splits her time between Nashville and Orange County.
She’s not a real estate agent… yet!
Ali enters the series in a surprising way, as someone who is interested in real estate, but doesn’t have her license yet. During the show, she explains that her boyfriend flies to Orange Country every Monday for work, and the couple is considering renting a place in Orange County to cut down on the frequent back-and-forth. While she dabbled in the real estate market in Nashville and considered getting her license there, she says ultimately decided there are bigger opportunities in the OC. Currently, she's not listed as an agent at The Oppenheim Group per the brokerage's website, or listed as a salesperson associated with the company in California's Department of Real Estate database. But after meeting with Jason Oppenheim and speaking with the OC office's agents throughout the latest installment, she seems determined to secure her license.
She’s been on reality TV before.
This isn't Ali's first reality TV rodeo. She was a cast member of CMT’s Music City, a docuseries that followed young adults chasing their dreams, love, and fame in Nashville circa 2018. According to IMDB, she also appeared in the movie The Baby in the Basket.
She’s won big beauty pageants.
The Southern belle has made a splash in the pageant world. She was named Miss Tennessee USA 2018 and made it into the top 10 for the Miss USA competition, according to the Miss Tennessee USA's Hall of Fame.
She’s held various jobs, from tech salesperson to blogger.
Ali Harper has held a number of jobs in multiple industries. According to her LinkedIn, she's worked as a sales account executive for a broadcast group, a content creator for a publication, and a PR communications manager. At one point, she ran her own fashion and beauty blog. She also told Women's Health that she's also worked in tech sales and as a delivery driver.
She’s in a serious relationship.
Ali has been in a relationship with her boyfriend, Lucas England, for just over two years, according to her Instagram. In June of 2022, Ali shared on Instagram that the couple had been neighbors for four years and Lucas asked her on a date in the summer of 2021. Per Lucas's LinkedIn page, he holds the title of vice president of operations at a global supply chains solutions company.
She has a passion for cooking.
One look at her feed and it's clear that Ali is an obvious foodie. From around December 2022 through May 2023, she shared tons of recipes on her Instagram. Many are for savory meals, with a few desserts and cocktails in the mix. Cheers to the latest addition to the show!
