Plenty of members-only clubs boast an air of snootiness that we don't particularly enjoy. The exception? Costco, the membership-based warehouse that offers its loyal shoppers the best prices on the market. Case in point: Casper mattresses, which just arrived both in stores and online. So if you need an excuse to join the Costco club, here it is: The beloved memory foam Select mattress is $800 (for a king!). Though it has been discontinued by the brand, the most similar available alternative, The Casper, is $1,395 for the same size (it's currently on sale for $1,255).
If you're shopping on the Costco website, the Casper Select mattress is $649.99 for a queen and $849.99 for a king, so if you want to save $50, pop into your local Costco and snatch up the super-plush bed before someone beats you to it. If you doubt your upper body strength is up to the task of lugging a giant mattress through the store and into your car, rest assured you won't have to. Even the biggest size, the California king, comes neatly tucked into a box.
Of course, anyone with an Amazon Prime membership knows that few retailers are more competitive than Amazon, so if you really want to score the best price, you may want to open your app ASAP. The king-size Casper Element is only $675.75 on Amazon. That's less than $700 for a luxury mattress! And it's only $505 for a queen. Need we say more? The differences between the Select, Element, and Casper are almost nondetectable, as they're all cooling memory foam options.
