Sex, lots of sex in this one. One of the more frisky chick flicks of the year. This movie follows the lives of 10 New Yorkers caught up in a ring of desire and love. Stars Jennifer Tilly, Justin Kirk(Andy from Weeds), along with a few other familiar faces. This movie is very sexually charged as you watch the characters get caught up in chain-reactions of seduction and impulse. Great chick flick to watch with the significant other, something for both sexes in this one. Good plot line, jumps around a bit though so pay attention, and nudity…I think we know which sex will appreciate which.
So…you may have heard of this one. A futuristic nation that consists of 12 districts holds fights to the death. A young boy and girl from each district is chosen, the 24 combatants train for and then take place in a battle to the death. One of the fighters is a young girl who volunteered in order to save her younger sister. Follow the kids on their lengthy training for this brutal contest. Haven’t heard anything bad about this one. The chicks absolutely love this one. 3rd highest opening ever for a movie. Biggest flick of 2012
Zac Efron stars in this new chick flick coming out in 2012. He plays an American soldier who finds a woman’s picture on the battle field and uses it as inspiration. Upon returning to the states he seeks out this woman and ends up getting a job working for her mother. For some reason he is unable to come forth with the truth of what brought him to her. When this is brought to the chicks attention it causes some conflict, of course they work through it and its all well that ends well. Probably a good option to watch with your girl friends. Guys, I wouldn’t scoop this one up, not only will you have to sit through it…you’ll have to watch her eyes light up as see oogles Efron half naked
Another funny chick flick for 2012. Best friends Jason(Adam Scott) and Julie(Jennifer Westfeldt) decide to have a child together. Both getting older and with no real love interests they figure they will have a platonic relationship while raising the child together. Things go exactly as planned and its happily ever after for the friends. Yeah right, obviously this arrangement bodes well for problems to arise. There has been a huge influx of movies with the whole idea of friends with benefits(one boasting that exact title and can be seen right here on this awesome ass web site) lately, so you can probably forecast how this is going to pan out. Even though the plot is pretty transparent, the movie is still funny. If your looking for some good laughs be sure to check out this 2012 chick flick.
One of the best chick flicks coming out in 2012. This movie has a wicked deep cast as far as acting talent goes; Elizabeth Banks, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock, Cameron Diaz and others. Jennifer Lopez also stars in this film, hey…. they can’t all be winners right. The film is a spin on the the well known pregnancy book What to expect when your expecting. Watch as four couples discover that having a kid is anything but predictable. Jules (Diaz) and her husband, both celebrities start to realize that their life style and pregnancy aren’t the best combination. Meanwhile, Wendy (Banks) an infant advice author, is slammed by hormones during her pregnancy. Her poor husband (Ben Falcone) has to not only deal with her but also the news that his fathers trophy wife (Brooklyn Decker) is pregnant with twins. Perhaps the funniest aspect of the movie is the “dudes” group that Holly (J. LO) sends her husband to. This support group for new fathers is led by Vic (Rock), the groups brutal honesty makes for some good laughs. This is a good chick flick for guys, although a frightening story line for us, the movie is hysterical. Sure to be considered a top chick flick of 2012.
Drew Barrymore still has a career!! Just kidding….sort of, In this new Movie based on a true story a small town in Alaska rallies to save three trapped whales. Unable to surface due to the frozen water this small town, with some help, must make a path through the ice to the unfrozen ocean. Through sheer determination the whales are saved and Barrymore and Josh Krasinski(The Office) spark up a romance. Not the most thrilling plot line ever, but a feel good story non the less.
Very funny chick Flick, a must see for 2012. Jason Segal is engaged to a beautiful woman who he is crazy about and can not wait to marry. Unfortunately, he has to wait… the title is a big clue here… yup 5 years!! As the time table continues to grow and more and more challenging situations arise their love is put to the true test, Time. Very funny and good plot line as well, worth a look..
Sophie, a young American girl traveling in Verona, Italy (Home to Romeo and Juliet) finds a love letter written over 50 years ago. She manages to track down the woman who wrote it and along with her son begin the search for the man she wrote the letter to. Sophie happens to have a fiance back in the states, this has little to no bearing on feelings she begins to develop with her new European friend. Who happens to be a very good looking dude. Definitely a great movie for those people who believe in enduring love(and lack a ‘Y’ chromosome). Gather up the girl friends and check it out, let your guy sit this one out not much in it for him…..unless it will gain him a favor..
May 2012
Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams star together in this chick flick. Some very mushy stuff. After a car accident McAdams looses her memory, everything is wiped out including her husband of five years. Tatum is forced to try and make his wife fall back into love with him. Great girls night movie
Not your typical chick flick, this movie is packed with adventure as well as being built around a love story. Two top CIA agents (Chris Pine & Tom Hardy) go head to head against each other to win a girl(Reese Witherspoon). These two pull out all the stops, somewhat over the top, to destroy the others relationship with the girl who is dating them both. Chelsea Handler puts in a hysterical performance in her role as the best friend. Great date movie as there is a little something for everyone in this movie. Definitely worth checking this one out..(Feb. 2012)
